This is a Type VII Desert BDU Trousers in the 3 Color Desert Pattern. The coat is in the same overall pattern as the Type VI BDU Trousers, just in the desert camo. The trousers have six pockets, two hip pockets, two buttoned back pockets and two buttoned cargo pockets. There are also waist adjustments at the hip for best fit of the trousers. At the leg cuffs are adjustments for blousing over boots. Material used is 50/50 NYCO Ripstop, making them more durable and fade resistant than the 100% Cotton Ripstop Type III uniforms. These are great pants for general wear at work or outdoors.
- USGI Type VII DBDU Trousers, 3 Color Desert Pattern – The Type VII trousers was of the same pattern and design as the Type VI trousers in Woodland Camo, but in the 3 Color Desert pattern. The Type VII trousers knees were slightly changed, so that the legs were straight when in a rest position. They retained the six pocket design with no changes as well, all the way from the Type I trousers. There are two hip pockets, two buttoned back pockets and two buttoned cargo pockets. Most Type VII trousers will have a bug flap behind the buttons on the crotch, with late production trousers potentially missing that. The seat also remained reinforced for longer wear. The Type VII was issued from 1995 to when individual service branches updated their uniform camos.
