These are US Army Gen 3 Improved Outer Tactical Vests (IOTV) in Multicam. These vests are the 3rd iteration of the Army IOTV which has been in use since 2007. Throughout the various generations the IOTV has had updates resulting in each generation being better than the last. The Gen 3 IOTV features a Cordura construction, adjustable shoulder straps, adjustable stiffened cummerbund, generous amounts of MOLLE webbing across the plate bags and cummerbund and is releasable for those times where the armor must come off quickly. Unlike the first 2 generations, the 3rd generation has a vastly improved quick release system. The updated system utilizes 1.5 inch buckles that are connected to the release point by cables. This means when the carrier is released it just takes 4 easy clicks to put back together as opposed to the 30 minutes or more it would take to reassemble and resize one of the gen 1 or 2 IOTV’s. Carriers include front/ rear plate bags, cummerbund, front/ rear soft armor panels as well as a stiffened cummerbund. Carriers DO NOT include any auxiliary pieces such as DAPs, groin protector or the yoke & collar. Body armor comes apart and must be completely put back together when release cable or handle is pulled.
  • Adjustable Fitment – Includes adjustable straps to for proper fitment.
