Description
These are Level 6 extreme cold & wet weather pants that were used in the US Army. You wear the waterproof pants over other cold weather layers or uniform. The pants cuffs are zippered halfway up the pant leg to allow the wearer to don and doff them while wearing boots and other layers. There are two waist pockets with hook and loop flap closures. The knees are reinforced so as to not wear through the material. Overall these are good outer layer pants for general outdoor wear and use when a hard shell is needed.
Features:
- Waist Drawstring – These pants have a drawstring that allows the wear to adjust the waist to the perfect size.
- Zipper Closure – Has a zipper to secure contents stored inside.
- Pant Suspender Points – Pants have built in points for attaching suspenders, suspenders not included unless otherwise specified!
- Pass Through Pocket Flaps – Open Flap pockets for reaching through and accessing layers worn underneath.
- Pant Cargo Pockets – Has large pockets for bulky items on the pants legs.
- 1/2 Length Pant Leg Zipper – Zipper running half way up pant leg to aid in putting pants on and taking them off when worn over other clothes and boots.
- Adjustable Pants Cuffs – Pants cuffs are adjustable with drawstrings, hook and loop tabs or other methods.
- Scorpion Camouflage, OCP – When Multicam was adopted as the replacement for UCP during deployment operations it was also considered for Army wide adoption for uniforms and gear. Licensing fees for the Multicam pattern were deemed to high and the US Army took to the predecessor, Scorpion OCP. Scorpion OCP had been developed alongside Multicam and shares most of the same design. Side by side Multicam and Scorpion look much the same, with differences being subtle. The base color of Scorpion is green, compared to brown in Multicam and the shading of all colors was changed slightly. Scorpion also has no vertical elements in the camo. Scorpion is currently referred to as OCP, or Operational Camouflage Pattern and is used for US Army Uniforms and most Army gear.
- Part Of ECWCS – This is part of the US Army Extended Cold Weather Clothing System that is used to protect the wearer from cold to extreme cold weather situations and environments. The system consists of 7 levels of clothing and various accessories that can be worn in multiple configurations. When worn properly in appropriate conditions the system is designed to keep Soldiers warm in temperatures from +40 degrees to -50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- ECWCS Level 6 – This layer consists of a water and wind proof jacket and trousers that act as a hard shell layer over thermals or the standard uniform. Level 6 layers are intended for wear in cold to wet conditions. The jacket and trousers are lightweight and low bulk and when worn over thermal layers are still breathable to help prevent overheating.
