Description
This bayonet DOES NOT include a scabbard.
This is a British Pattern 1888 Bayonet. The pattern 1888 bayonet was designed for use with the M1888 Lee-Metford and Long Lee-Enfield rifles. This particular example was produced by the Sanderson Bros. & Newbould Ltd. around 1890. The blade bares several stamps that indicated it was re-stamped for service several times. Despite being a 130 plus year old bayonet this one still has plenty of life left in it. While there is some rusting on the pommel, the handle and blade are in amazing condition. The markings on the blade are a little hard to read due to so may re-stampings but are legible enough to discern. This bayonet DOES NOT include a scabbard.
The Bayonet pictured will be the one you receive.
