The caps are great, they keep water in but don’t keep dangerous chemicals out. So don’t use these in an NBC environment as is. Do use these when hiking or out and about though, they won’t let you down.

A good choice for holding your hydration needs. Listen to the label though, this thing is good for water and water only. It is a pain to clean!

I exclusively used canteens in the Marines for many years. I recently bought a bunch of these from venture and not a single one of them leaks. I like these a lot more than the granola eater naglene bottles that cost double or dumb camelbacks water bladders that always get you wet when you least expect it.

Yup… it’s a military canteen. Can’t really go wrong with these. Would buy again.

I ordered two of these. They look brand new but leak. These are not the same GI canteens I carried as a paratrooper. Very disappointed in this waste of money.

As stated in my prior review, the canteens leaked. 20 minutes with fine sandpaper and I was able to get one completely sealed. The other will leak if pressure is applied to the side of the sealed canteen. Considering how cheap they are I may just order another. Want one for my FLC and a second in assault pack.
All in all, satisfied with the gear I’ve received.
