These are fire resistant Gen III Level 5 soft shell cold weather pants used by the US Army in their Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS). These pants are water, wind and flame resistant and are meant to be worn as an outer insulating layer. The pants have suspenders are well as belt loops for wear. There are cargo and hip pockets. On the waist and leg cuffs are zippered sections so that the pants can be put on and taken off while wearing boots. The pants are an outer layer fit that can be worn over other insulating layers, or just replace the standard uniform pants. Overall these are great pants that can be worn in most conditions and offer good protection from the elements while staying lightweight and not being bulky.

Features:
- Flame Resistant – Will not catch fire when exposed to flames. It will burn but it will not drip or catch fire.
- Multicam – Originally design in the early 2000’s as a competitor to UCP, Multicam was passed over after the selection of UCP. Even with UCP being adopted the camo would still see widespread use by special operations forces across the US Military in Iraq and Afghanistan. As UCP was found to not be suitable and replacements were searched for Multicam was selected as the interim camo for use by deploying US Army Soldiers. The camo would not be issued in full scale within the US Military. With its selection for use in Afghanistan it was known as OEF Pattern. Garrison uniforms in Multicam were never made, with all Multicam uniforms issued in the US Army being fire resistant. Multicam was replaced by OCP, when it became the standard camo pattern for the US Army in 2015. Due to the similarity of Multicam and OCP the gear and equipment in those patterns, not uniforms, are commonly intermixed until widespread issue of OCP was completed.
- ECWCS Level 5 – This layer consists of a soft shell jacket and trouser set that is meant to be worn in a moderate to cold conditions and over thermal layers or the standard uniform. The jacket and trousers are low bulk, wind and water resistant, and cut to allow for good mobility while remaining lightweight.
- Pant Cargo Pockets – Has large pockets for bulky items on the pants legs.
